Scout Collar sells tracking collars for cats and small dogs that hold an Apple AirTag. Tracking happens inside Apple's Find My app on your own iPhone, which means we never see where your pet is. This policy explains what we do collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

Information We Collect

• Order information: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and order history.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers.
• Account information: your login credentials and saved preferences.
• Support information: anything you send us when you contact us, such as photos of a fitting or warranty issue.
• Site usage: pages viewed, device and browser type, and referring source.

How We Use Your Information

• Process, fulfil, and deliver your orders
• Manage your subscription plan and renewals, if you choose one

• Screen orders for fraud and protect against misuse

• Send marketing emails, only where you have opted in

Your Pet's Location

We do not collect, receive, store, or have any access to your pet's location. The collar holds an Apple AirTag, and all location information is handled entirely by Apple through the Find My app and your Apple Account. We have no companion app, no servers holding location history, and nothing to sell to advertisers or data brokers.

How Apple handles that information is covered by Apple's own privacy policy and by the settings in Find My on your iPhone, including the option to remove an item or stop sharing at any time.

Sharing Your Information

We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run the business: payment processors, shipping carriers, email and support platforms, and analytics tools. Each is bound to use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of people or animals.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

Order and billing records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting rules. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your case and honour any warranty.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our safeguards regularly and will notify affected customers promptly in the event of a breach that puts their data at risk.

Children

Our store and app are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
